Agente Levitante (Angel Esteban and Hannes Pasqualini) are an Italian-Spanish electroacoustic duo with a
strong interest in anthropological musicology, hypnotic improvisation and cut-up techniques. They blend
elements from musical folklore with electronic processing techniques.
Projects
Limani (work in progress)
Limani tells the story of an imaginary island located somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea. An
island which cannot be reached by simple sea navigation alone, but requires the traveller to enter a
specific state of mind.
The island is a peculiar place, isolated from the rest of the world, but at the same time cultural
melting pot. Both a utopia and a weird and uncanny place.
The piece tries to reconstruct the history, social organisation and cultural life on the now
disappeared island – has it been swallowed by the rising sea levels? It does so through music, field
recordings and fragments from spoken-word recordings, both historic and fictional.
Bogliasco
From Bogliasco, a small coastal town overlooking the Ligurian Sea, five tapes began their
journey — packed in envelopes, addressed to other listeners, other makers somewhere else in Europe.
The instructions were simple: record something, anything, on the next open section of the tape, then
send it onward.
We contributed a track titled Esplorazione to this collaborative project. It's a partially
improvised Duduk piece with live electronics (resampling)
